This year we went to the &lt;strong&gt;A.D. Makepeace&lt;/strong&gt; bogs in Tihonet (Wareham), Massachusetts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_O2JI8OA6HFs/SPzxL-kW_9I/AAAAAAAAACI/eC6ucKWCUMA/s1600-h/024.JPG"&gt;&lt;img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259343652938252242" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_O2JI8OA6HFs/SPzxL-kW_9I/AAAAAAAAACI/eC6ucKWCUMA/s400/024.JPG" border="0" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt; This is the conveyer belt that works off the wet-vac system from the bog.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The belt sends off loads them to a 40 ft dup truck of sorts, and then off to the cranberry processing plant.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We saw two 40 ft beds loaded in about 45 minutes this day. The two never cease to amaze me.  Ever since I was young, forts were it!  This one is Fort Preble in South Portland, ME.  It boasts the best granite money could buy in the 1800's.  Maybe before!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here we get the thumbs up from a relative of the Commodore, for whose name it stands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cannot imagine the recoil of the cannons here when firing on distant ships. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A real lesson in the ingenuity and and determination of the Early Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyhow.
